Quit Chewing Tobacco If You Don't Want To Have Gum Infection
Chewing tobacco, also known as “dip” or “snuff”, has become a popular habit, especially among many teenagers. They mistakenly believe it is less harmful than smoking cigarettes. However, in addition to causing mouth cancers, chewing tobacco causes gums to recede and make gum infection even worse, a major cause of gum sensitivity and tooth decay. Habits like sucking on hard candy can also cause enamel abrasion and tooth sensitivity. Preventing worse dental problems can start from swearing to quit that nasty habit of tobacco use and smoking. Added to that, refraining from eating too much sweets can also prevent short stabbing pain on teeth and enamel abrasion.
