How To Astral Project Your Ethereal Body

July 3rd, 2009

We are all born with the ability to astral project. Practice is the only reason some astral project and some do not. It is an ancient art and has been practiced for centuries deserving the same respect as yoga or meditation. Astral projection is known by different names and types. There are many different techniques to achieve astral projection.

One type of astral projection is lucid dreaming. This occurs when you are dreaming and know it. When your conscious mind knows you are dreaming you can astral project very easily. Get into the habit of telling yourself ‘I am dreaming’ when you are having a lucid dream.

If you keep doing this, you will become conditioned to being aware when you are dreaming. It may be hard for a beginner to astral project with this random practice.

Astral projection is something you have done before, although you may not realize that you have done so. Have you ever awoken from a particularly vivid dream remembering every detail? You were not dreaming this – you were astral projecting.

Being able to astral project begins with self-affirmation. You need to believe that you have this ability. You’ll have to eliminate all of the doubt that’s been preventing you from astral projecting.

Practicing meditation and other relaxation methods can get your mind and body prepared to astral project. Meditation is the best relaxation technique for those looking to astral project. The key is to find a regular meditation regimen that helps you to relax.

A fairly simple meditative practice could be sitting in your favorite comfy chair, in a quiet place with no distractions. Once you are comfortable it is time to clear your head of anything and everything that is floating around in there. Do not focus on any stresses or troubles that are burdening you. The best way to do this is to focus on your breathing, your breathing should be deep and slow. With each breath you should see all the troubles in your head leaving you through your mouth. This will help you reach that deeply relaxed state that is needed to astral project.

You then have to be reach an altered state of consciousness. You can simply continue to work on your breathing, your focus now is not going to be to get rid of the stresses, it is to truly focus on the way you are breathing, your head is clear. The breaths that you are taking should be deep, coming in through the nose and going out of the mouth. As your breathing is slowing and deepening you need to focus on your relaxing on your body.

Begin with your toes and move on up your body telling each part to relax. When you breathe out, tell each part of your body to relax. You can also tense the muscles up first and then relax them, whichever works best for you.

You are going to feel heaviness as each area of your body becomes relaxed. The tension will leave your muscles; your energy will slip away as each part of your body relaxes. You will be able to feel it when this happens. When this consumes your entire body, you are ready to move on to astral projection.

Your body and your mind will be completely relaxed and it would be very easy to fall asleep, but don’t! To stay alert, you can repeat a phrase to yourself. It doesn’t matter what this phrase is – it could be as simple as ‘walk the dog, walk the dog’.

When our minds have nothing else to do, they tend to wander – and this can spoil the concentration you need to astral project. Keep repeating your phrase to stay focused.

There are different ways to achieve a state of altered consciousness. You can repeat your chosen phrase or do it another way. Imagine a glowing light, and then imagine you entering it and transforming yourself into this body of light. This is referred to as the body of light technique.

There are three signs which will let you know that you are successfully astral projecting. One is that you’ll experience a sensation of motion, followed by seeing light and color even though your eyes will be closed. Finally, you’ll hear voices urging you either to continue or to stop what you are doing – this is a surefire sign that you have managed to astral project.

Backyard Science Projects

July 2nd, 2009

Your yard and neighborhood provide many wonderful opportunities for kids to both play and learn.  In addition to swimming and other outdoor sports, your child can also use your backyard for science projects. If you are interested in helping them achieve this, you may want to familiarize yourself with some popular backyard activities, especially those that have a focus on nature and science.

Exploring the outdoors is not only a fun activity, but it can also provide many educational science experiments.  There are a surprisingly large number of different plants and living creatures that can be found in your yard or near your home, even in an urban environment.Kids naturally enjoy nature, and you can encourage them with your help. This is particularly true with toddlers and elementary school aged children. Choose activities that you enjoy, because your kids will require your help.

Botany is the scientific study of plants - encourage your child to examine how plants grow. If you look closely, most backyards have many different kinds of plants and flowers. The most interesting environments may be found in wooded, bushy and unmowed areas.

Your yard and neighborhood provide many habitats for birds and animals. See how many different species you can identify. Be patient and quietly observe them for awhile. What do they eat? Can you find their homes? Bird watching is a popular hobby, and even amateur bird watchers often contribute to real science projects. If your child really enjoys it, they may ask for a new pet.

You can also find many different kinds of insects in your yard. Kids are often fascinated with bugs, and want to examine them more closely. It is not only fun to see what kinds of bugs live in your backyard, but it is also exciting to learn about how they survive.

Encourage your child to study the impact of the weather on the environment for the plants and animals in your yard. Backyard conditions change as the weather changes. Study your backyard after a heavy rain, and have your child look for all the changes they can find. Weather plays a big role in the lives of the plants and animals living in your backyard.

Some simple science supplies can enhance your child’s experience. Consider purchasing science and nature books, butterfly nets, magnifying glasses, containers or insect cages, and so on. Provide a small cage or jar with air holes in case your child decides to catch some insects. These supplies, along with others, can be purchased from many retail stores, including department stores, home improvement stores, and toy stores. Or find what you need by searching online.

To keep your exploration focused on education, science books and nature resource guides may be a nice addition to your child’s science collection. Many books and guides have a specific focus on insects, birds, plants, or flowers.  Many of these resources will provide you with information and pictures so that you can identify the specimens you find. Your local library or book store will have many good science and nature books available.

Encourage your child to document the animals, birds, insects and plants they discover. You can easily do this with a camera or a notebook. Have your child record their exploration and findings by taking pictures. You can use the pictures for other science projects and crafts. You can turn the photos into memories by using them in a scrapbook or collage project.

Whether you plan the activity or it simply happens, your child will certainly find something to interest them. Teaching kids science in your own backyard is just one of the many adventures that you and your child can share outdoors. And it just may be the start of a life-long interest in science.

Becoming a Lucid Dreamer

July 1st, 2009

So you want to be a lucid dreamer. Well that’s a good start, at least you know what you want to do; but how exactly do you go about it?

It can be helpful to know why you would like to be a lucid dreamer. What do you have to gain from the process? In order to find the profit in lucid dreaming we should begin with the normal dream process.

Sleep itself is not so interesting; you get ready for bed, lie down and close your eyes. Then you may have uncontrolled dreams or not and several hours later you awaken.

Normal sleep just seems to serve the purpose of simply refreshing ourselves in order to live out the next day. But what if you could control that period of time that you have dreams?

What if there was a way to become a full participant in your dreams? Lead them in the manner in which you alone determine consciously? That my friend is basically what a lucid dreamer does. They control all aspects of their dreams, going where they will and doing whatever they want in the confines of the dream state.

This sounds great the only thing left is the how. You can accomplish lucid dream state in one of two ways. One, you can have a dream initiated lucid dream (DILD); this is where while dreaming you become aware of the fact that you are dreaming. In this way, you bring a level of consciousness into the dream.

The second way is having a wake-initiated lucid dream (WILD); where the dreamer goes from being awake, to being asleep with no change in consciousness. In other words, the dreamer enters their dream as if it were a door, rather than just “waking up” in a dream.

So how are these types of lucid dreaming induced?

Dream Recall

The easiest place to begin your lucid dream search is in dreams you have already had. When you can remember your dreams, you will be able to recognize when you have that dream again. Many times, we will have the same dream or part of a dream over and over.

The best way to remember your dreams is of course to write them down. Keep a pen and pad by the bed and immediately upon waking from a dream write it down. The reason you want to write it immediately upon waking is so you do not forget any part of the dream. Dreams tend to fade from our conscious mind rather quickly.

Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams (MILD)

Developed by renowned lucid dream researcher Dr. Stephen LaBerge, this technique works by telling yourself to recognize a certain object or situation when you see it in your dreams. When you see this object, it triggers the realization that you are in a dreaming, allowing you to begin lucid dreaming.

Wake-Back-to-Bed (WBTB)

This simple process has you taking no action except to set an alarm that will waken you in less time than you normally sleep. For most of us about five or six hours will do it. After the alarm awakens you do not try to fall back to sleep. For about an hour you should read, watch TV or concentrate on lucid dreaming then go back to sleep.

According to Dr, LaBerge, this method has a 60% success rate. The idea here is to wake yourself in the midst of a REM cycle so that upon returning to sleep, lucid dreaming will be easy to achieve.

Cycle Adjustment Technique

This method was created by Daniel Love in this technique you set an alarm to awaken you 90 minutes before you normally would awaken. This is done for approximately a week. After a week, you begin to alternate between normal wake up and early. On the normal waking days, the body will come alert earlier thereby increasing the chance of lucidity.

Wake-initiation of Lucid Dreams (WILD)

This technique involves maintaining mental alertness even as your body shuts down for sleep. Think of it as if you are in a movies theater, with the film soon to begin; your closed eyelids are like the black screen just before the movie starts.

There are any number of ways to keep your mind alert, count, controlled breathing techniques or concentrated relaxation are all great ways to keep the mind alert. It is a bit like hypnotizing your self. This works best if you are not exhausted, try it during an afternoon nap.

Technology has moved on in recent years, and there are various devices like dreaming masks and other scientific appliances which contain such things as strobe lights to induce lucid dreams.

Definitely the easiest and most reliable way of inducing a lucid dream however is by listening to binaural beats sound frequencies via headphones.

These work by synchronizing the two hemispheres of the brain and have the effect of almost instantaneously changing your brainwaves to the REM frequency needed for a lucid dream to occur.

Combined with the self hypnosis sessions and affirmations to prepare your subconscious mind beforehand, becoming a lucid dreamer is something that everyone can now experience!

The Future of Solar Energy

June 30th, 2009

Photovoltaic cells—those black squares an array of which comprises home solar power kits—are getting more efficient, and gradually less expensive, all the time, thanks to ever-better designs which all them to focus the gathered sunlight on a more and more concentrated point. The size of the cells is decreasing as their efficiency rises, meaning that each cell becomes cheaper to produce and at once more productive. As far as the aforementioned cost, the price of producing solar-generated energy per watt hour has come down to $4.00 at the time of this writing. Just 17 years ago, it was nearly double that cost.

Solar powered electricity generation is certainly good for the environment, as this alternative form of producing energy gives off absolutely zero emissions into the atmosphere and is merely utilizing one of the most naturally occurring of all things as its driver. Solar collection cells are becoming slowly but surely ever more practical for placing upon the rooftops of people’s homes, and they are not a difficult system to use for heating one’s home, creating hot water, or producing electricity. In the case of using the photovoltaic cells for hot water generation, the system works by having the water encased in the cells, where it is heated and then sent through your pipes.

Photovoltaic cells are becoming increasingly better at collecting sufficient radiation from the sun even on overcast or stormy days. One company in particular, Uni-Solar, has developed solar collection arrays for the home that work well on inclement days, by way of a technologically more advanced system that stores more energy at one time during sunlit days than previous or other arrays.

There is actually otherr home solar power kits available for use called the PV System. The PV System is connected to the nearest electrical grid; whenever there is an excess of solar energy being collected at a particular home, it is transferred to the grid for shared use and as a means of lowering the grid’s dependence on the hydroelectrically-driven electricity production. Being connected to the PV System can keep your costs down as compared to full-fledged solar energy, while at once reducing pollution and taking pressure off the grid system. Some areas are designing centralized solar collection arrays for small towns or suburban communities.

Some big-name corporations have made it clear that they are also getting into the act of using solar power (a further indication that solar generated energy is becoming an economically viable alternative energy source). Google is putting in a  1.6 megawatt solar power generation plant on the roof of its corporate headquarters, while Wal Mart wants to put in an enormous 100 megawatt system of its own.

Nations such as Japan, Germany, the United States, and Switzerland have been furthering the cause of solar energy production by providing government subsidies or by giving tax breaks to companies and individuals who agree to utilize solar power for generating their heat or electrical power. As technology advances and a greater storage of solar collection materials is made available, more and more private investors will see the value of investing in this “green” technology and further its implementation much more.

You Can Develop The Real Secrets Of Telepathy

June 29th, 2009

Develop Telepathy - Telepathy is a method of communication in which two people exchange thoughts, feelings and emotions directly between their minds. This is a mental capacity which anyone can use with enough practice.

All of us have latent telepathic abilities. This is something which most of us cannot use consciously, however; like any other skill, telepathy must be practiced. There are times when we use telepathy without even realizing it; but what of you could Develop telepathy to the point where you could use it at will?

People tend to be skeptical about telepathy. It’s hard to blame them; since telepathy isn’t taught to us, you don’t see everyone going around using this ability. Regardless, you have used this ability. Think of an instance where you were in a terrific mood and then spoke with a friend who was down in the dumps. Even if you only spoke with them for a short time, you may have found yourself also feeling glum afterwards, sharing the same emotions as your friend.

Was it what they said? Not at all – at least not with their words. It is telepathy which has allowed you to feel what your friend is feeling.

Scientific studies have shown that by accessing the sub-conscious centre of your mind and learning to focus your thoughts and feelings toward a specific person, it is possible to re-awaken the dormant telepathic abilities.

Think of telepathy as if it were a foreign language. As a child, you learned your native language by listening to and imitating the people around you. Your parents taught you to speak; but almost certainly, they did not teach you to use telepathy to communicate. This however does not mean that you don’t have telepathic abilities.

What if our parents never taught us to use that ‘other’ ability – the one where we can communicate with our minds? Does that mean we can’t do it? No. It simply means we were never taught how.

The following methods are useful to help develop telepathy.

‘Mental-Muscle’ training

In much the same way as young children need to learn to strengthen their voice boxes and learn to control how their mouth moves as they learn to make words, you’ll need to learn to strengthen and control your telepathic muscles.

The centers in your brain that control telepathic communication work most strongly on the sub-conscious level, or in the trance-like hypnotic state. This trance state is a level of relaxation all humans are capable of reaching without too much trouble.

You have to practice until it is easy for you to reach this state. Once you have managed to do this, you have started training your mind to use telepathy.

Focus

It does take some practice to maintain your focus while in the deep relaxation of a trance state. Focus on someone who you want to telepathically communicate with as you relax and stay focused as you slip into a trance state.

Visualize them and project positive thoughts. Visualize them receiving your thoughts – remain focused on this until the recipient has had enough time to absorb these thoughts.

Then withdraw your focus completely. It’s important to stop the contact so the person will feel the loss of communication, which will prompt them to re-establish the connection and contact you in return.

The point of learning to focus while on your own is so that when you begin your training with a partner, your mind will already be receptive and ready to receive impressions and images more easily.

Partner Practice

When practicing telepathy with a partner, one partner will send mental images and thoughts to be received by the other. Start by sending simple images like bright colors to the receiver and work your way up to more complex images and thoughts.

The receiver should keep a writing utensil and paper close at hand so that they can write down any communications they receive from the sender.

Afterwards, sender and receiver compare notes to assess how successful the exercise has been. Don’t get discouraged; telepathy is an ability which takes practice, but you will improve over time.

Scoliosis Pain And Sleep Disorders

May 8th, 2009

Scoliosis is not covered by heavy objects (eg, heavy school bags on a shoulder), sports or physical activities, poor performance or sleeping postures, or a lack of calcium in the diet. Scoliosis affects the whole body.
If the portion of the spine, which is in the chest, called the thoracic scoliosis is defined as a lateral curvature of the spine, the presence of which is abnormal, the name is derived from the Greek word for curvature. It can be disfiguring because when the spine curves to the side, the vertebrae (the individual bones that make up the spine) are twisted and pull the ribs round with them, sometimes a “bulge” on the back and lead that the shoulder blade to stick out - the rib hump. DLPA - natural painkillers

May 8th, 2009

Every day, doctors are prescribing painkillers for their patients, from injury, surgery, migraine headaches, back problems and other conditions. Pharmaceutical companies are researching better formulas to relieve certain types of pain. Probably every household in America contains at least one over-the-counter painkillers such as aspirin, Tylenol, Ibuprofin, Motrin or Excedrin. Some pain relievers have serious potential side effects and many patients have reactions to other problems. If you have tried the big pain medications and have not found relief organizations for your chronic pain, you may also be good on a natural painkiller called, DL-phenylalanine. (DO NOT confuse this with the amino acid L-phenylalanine, an amino acid used for synthesis of neurotransmitters in the brain and the promotion of sexual arousal. Phenylanine L-also helps to control the appetite.) DLPA is a form of phenylalanine, but is formulated with equal parts of the D - synthetic or phenylalanine and L, the natural form of the amino acid.
DLPA has the ability to activate and produce endorphins, the body’s own natural painkillers. More on Natural pain relief
